NAR 12S Series Reversing Rectifiers
High Current Electronic Reversible Power Supplies

The most widely used hardchrome rectifier in Canada, this model also works well for specific electro-cleaning processes. Easy to operate, it eliminates the need for high-maintenance polarity-reversing switches that sap energy. Ripple, when measured at the rectifier, is less than 5% through 60% of the range. Available in forced air or water-cooled. Reversing rectifiers of 1,000A or less are available in natural convection-cooled.

Rectifier Paralleling

NAR has developed a system for operating multiple rectifiers with both positive and negative electrodes common to all rectifiers. Rectifiers are controlled from the central location to automatically share the total load current.

Advantages:

• Reduces downtime through n+1 redundancy
• Allows production to continue uninterrupted
• Increases the lifespan of the rectifier by operating at a lower setpoint - therefore less heat.
• Master/slave emplyed by competing systems is eliminated.
• Rectifiers of various sizes can be paralleled if the output voltage is the same.
